I could pretend this is my way of being a little greener this year. I could say it is due to watching my very talented niece, Nicole Ryu, dance as Clara in NJ Ballet's The Nutcracker at the Papermill Playhouse. Because I've been baking holiday breads for my Sussex County NJ real estate clients.
But Santa's elves are watching and recording all fibs. The truth is I haven't written a single Christmas card because I've been working on many real estate transactions around Sussex County! Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and there are deals being done right now. I have a big closing on Dec. 29. Just signed new listing paperwork this week. All good things but I'm just not going to get to those cards right now, so:
Makes me yearn for the custom when I lived in Europe of sending greeting cards between Christmas and the end of January... Perhaps I'll learn how to use the Flip Video I won last week and share my "Best Bread Ever" recipe to make amends.

Irene, that was beautiful! Now there is nothing wrong with being too busy to send out cards, way to go! And what is wrong with sending out your greetings after Christmas? I have 24 days to go before my season is finished up, so in my book you have plenty of times. (I wrote a post about that in case you are confused)
Merry Christmas Irene, all the best to you and your family.
Love the new photo!
I have noted there are fewer and fewer cards as the years go by. It's probably a combination of factors...expensive stamps, expensive cards and too little time. You're not alone.
Irene,
Merry Christmas to my favorite Sussex County real estate agent.
Rich
Andrea - I've read your great post but just don't see any way I'm going to tackle cards. And all the best to you and your growing family!
Jane - Funny how we have a different perception on stamps; I view US postage rates as one of the best deals ever. But thanks for your support!
Rich - Right back at 'ya! Except you're my favorite Crofton agent...
Ah I hear ya ! I've been fortunate to have had some good activity to end the year (and a closing this afternoon :o)
Thanks for the Blog Card !
...and all the very best for the rest of the Holidays Irene :o)
Merry Christmas to you and your family. My you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year in 2010.
Being busy is a good thing. You are a one person stimulus package for Sussex County, Merry Christmas!
What a beautiful card! No apology necessary, Irene! The fact that you are busy is a very good thing and your friends are happy for you! I look forward to the bread recipe!
Sheldon - Can't wait to give you a late holiday hug at RainCamp! Happy Christmas.
Larry - And the same to you and yours. I look forward to getting to know you more in 2010.

Irene - I was "green" when it came to my family and friends this year, but I did manage to get out holiday cards to all of my clients. I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
i haven't done Christmas cards in about 30 years, and there's no reason to start now! LOL
Michelle - Sounds like a good balance. I'm envious! And a Merry Christmas to the Gibsons.
Russel - Glad I'm in such good company that I earned your stamp of approval! All the best to you as well.
