Last night my Hamburg real estate office hosted our annual "Photos with Santa." Open to all within Sussex County NJ and free, we had a great turnout.
While I don't have a firm count, I estimate we had about 100 people visit Santa at our Sussex County NJ real estate office. I did print 75 pictures. Some families just wanted the children together in one shot; others did individual photos plus all siblilngs. Add the parents and I think we had about 100 folks!
Who had the best time? I think it was a tossup! One of my colleagues, John Massari, served as our photographer. My important task was to transfer those shots to my computer, rapidly remove vampiric red eyes, and print keepsakes for each boy and girl. The daughter of an agent racked up community-service hours by trimming and inserting the pictures in card frames. Other elves served refreshments. Santa Claus, naturally, listened carefully to each child's wish list so that there just might be a treasured toy in that child's future....

Irene....sounds like fun.....we did that one year.....invited the town....had photos with santa of every kid who attended....then I ran a full page ad in the local paper of all the photos......thumbnail photos filled the page.....great success.
Irene, good job and Merry Christmas.
Sounds like a good time and definitely a good thing. You gave some memories to children who will still remember the evening yeas from now!
Barbara - Now that was one clever idea! I'm filing it for next time.
Frank - Thanks and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
Gary - We only had 1 crying holdout who refused to go near Santa. So I spun the camera around and took a shot of just her. No child walked out empty handed!
Boot spammer - May Santa leave coal in your stocking!
I love this idea - I will definetly do this next Christmas! Elfing jobs are fun!
And you are a top elf, Anna! Give me a ring next year when you start planning. I'd be glad to share logistics that made this year much smoother.
Wow, good turnout and great looking Santa! Cute picture, did you make a wish?
Irene - What a great event! I'm sure everyone had a great time.
Irene, It sounds like everyone had a wonderful time...including you and Santa and of course the children!
Lyn - Santa took copious notes, especially as he knew I've been naughty...
Michelle - It was a lot of work but well worth it!
Carole - As you know, it always feels good to give something to our community. The excitement of the children was contagious.
Fantastic Irene! Simply fantastic! What a celebration! Love YOUR festive look by the way!
Peggy and Al,
'Tis the season to spread some joy and have childlike fun!
Irene,
What a great party idea! I'll bet some business relationships were strengthened while everyone had a good time.

Mike,
While many agents called to personally invite customers, I'm happy to report I heard no one actually discussing business. That said, the attendees certainly will remember us all...
What a great idea! It sounds like you had a lot of fun too! I love the new picture! Awesome Santa - I would have taken a photo with him if I were there!
Our Santa is the best, Sharon! We had a blast.
