Great pic! Did you take that?
Jared & Amanda,
I sure did! Hubby Chip & I went camping in the White Mountains of NH this past weekend. You are looking at the view from our campsite. Spectacular, huh?
Irene, this is so neat:)) Great pic, great description. I hope you had fun camping. (wasn't it cold at night?:))
Beautiful view, how far is the drive from NJ to NH? I love camping... have not been in years.
Irene, great caption for this photo. Looks like a great place to camp. Thanks.
Irene, very nice and I think the title is perfect. Thanks and have a great day.
Too cool....I love it. Great photo.
Nice picture. I love the mountain and this makes want to take the day off and go hang out in the mountains today...
You have a great eye. Thanks for sharing and labeling such a fine picture
Nice Photo, I don't think I would have seen that. Perfect title!! Have a wonderful week!
Hi Irene, Great photo and a very clever title! That title fits perfectly.
Have a great day,
Anne Rains
Irene, that is so cool! And camping! Wow, I just started to swat at all those imaginary mosquitoes!
Joanna - Not only was it cold at night, it was cold during the day. Got caught in a sudden hailstorm at the top of Mount Washington. Thank heavens for long johns and a warm hubby with whom to cuddle!
Maureen - The drive was about 6 hours but well worth it! We had not been in years either and are already planning our next camp. Go do it!
Michael - Our site was perfect, right near a beaver dam. We'd see the little critters taking a swim. I thought about joining them but I wasn't going to be swimming in a fur coat.
Larry - Glad you spotted it!
Claude - Don't know about a great eye - it just jumped out!
Judy - Hope you have a great week too!
Anne - I'm better with words than photos so I lucked out. Thanks for visiting.
Pat,
I got no skeeter bites until we got back to NJ and were unloading the car! Maybe it was still too chilly in NH but I'm usually total mosquito food.
There are lots of nice camping areas around DC but bring the OFF! Tents can be quire romantic...
Mark,
You have my permission to play hooky and head to the hills. It is amazing how even a short time in the mountains can recharge our batteries!
Kevin,
My first Wordless post and you took the time to say hello. AR - and you - rock!
When I first glanced at this I saw an big arrow hitting a thin tree target. I could even see the target shake from the impact.
I wanted to see the archer and the bow.
Oh, well.
Maybe your next post.
I never imagined this would be a Rorschach test, Jim, but you are on target! What extra fun you've just added.
Hi Irene, the reflection on this one with the lying down tree is one of the most awesome I have seen.
And it was even more sspectacular in person, Gary. If you ever want to camp in Crawford Notch, NH, do I have a recommended site number!
Irene, what a lovely photo. It also looks like woodpecker heaven. I wonder if that is what this little things that look like holes in all those trees were caused by? Thanks for sharing the great photo.
Tammy,
I'm ashamed to say I never even picked up on that! We did hear woodpeckers there. Thanks for taking a look and saying hello!
OMG Irene,
What an amazing shot. It took me a minute to get it. At first I didn't notice the reflection. I'm so happy you added it to Road Trips.
We had an amazing campsite, Jenny. Glad to have a new place to showcase this picture - I was proud of it!
This looks like a paradise camp site! The reflection is amazing. I bet you had a very relaxing weekend.
PS Do you have mosquitos there? Hope not!
Anna,
Didn't get bitten by a single skeeter until I returned to NJ and was unloading the car! It was still quite cool in the White Mountains, so perhaps the little pests just hadn't appeared yet. That did add to the relaxation...
I'm such a dork Irene, please remind me when looking at pictures to wear my glasses. It took me a few seconds to figure what it was. Great picture.
Talk about dork, Xinh; I can never see the image in those "dot pictures" that supposedly jumps out if one looks at it correctly. Others immediately spot the Statue of Liberty or a dolphin while I'm crossing my eyes, looking "blankly" - you name it!
